I study Danish Philology (Danish language and Nordic culture) at Vilnius University in Lithuania, where I am at my final year. My tasks in Nohr-Con consist primarily of collecting Norwegian and Danish evaluations for improvement of events, of sending our course and conference attendees participation certificates, of making changes in our database and helping my colleagues with sending out invoices and other small tasks. I'm very fond of working in Nohr-Con, where I can use the Danish language practically and experience the Danish working environment, which has inspired me greatly.

My primary task in Nohr-Con is handling all communication with our experts who speak at our courses and the speakers at conferences and to coordinate the practicalities with them about the events, i.e. informing speakers about all the practicalities of the courses and receiving educational material from them, which I afterwards gather and ensure will be printed for our participants. I also register course participants from Norway and send invoices for the Norwegian events. Besides that I also make a municipal report every year, where I collect data on capital expenditures in all Danish municipalities in the coming years.

It is me, who deals with the practical aspects of our events concerning participants; I send out confirmations, invoices and practical information the week before the event, so that you don‘t forget to show up etc. It is also me you contact, when you want to book a hotel room, to change a participant and alike. I consider myself a quite sociable and outgoing person, so it always warms my heart when I get an e-mail from you, even though if it’s only concerning a hotel room that I should book for you.

I am managing the database of Nohr-Con’s customers (both present and potential). I also manage data of the Scandinavian countries, Germany and others – in terms of technical issues. Thinking logically, paying attention to the details, searching for the best solutions – is what I do on a daily basis, which I never get tired of. For a long time IT has been a hobby of mine, while studying philosophy. Now these interests take equal amount of time and actually help me in the understanding of one another. It’s all about true and false after all.
